hamster is a good starting pet but mostly Siberian hamster often bites.there are many kinds of hamster like dwarf, Chinese golden,teddy bears, Campbell and Russian hamster. but mostly i like is Siberian and Campbell hamsters. an ideal and a better age to have is a 4 weeks old hamster in that age it is more easier to be train and tame.BASIC
1.an ideal hamster cage has a tray, feeding bowl and water bottle.
2. keep hamsters away from stairs, highly elevated board or tables,cats and sunlights.3.a good food for hamster are broccoli and sunflowers seeds. but instead for broccoli buy sunflower seeds it smoothen the coat for hamsters
4.keep your hamster's cage clean. clean it once a week keep his/her water bottle clean even his feeding bowl.
5.filled in you tray with thin wood carves and it is non toxic for my hamster i only put rip papers 2 to 1 inches small.
6.make a house for your hamster about exactly his/her size with an 2 inch vacant.
7.give your hamster some fresh fruits for a treat don't leave you fruit treat
in your hamster cage it might get rotten.
8.put some hamster wheel on the cage for some exercise or a hamster ball you can buy it on any pet store.
9.put some toys, tissue box roll or hamster tubes he might get some having fun.
10.remove uneaten fruits of it might get moldy it will cause your hamster get sick.
11. don't bathe your hamster it wash themselves.
12.Take your hamster with you or find someone to take care of him if you are going on vacation for more than three days.
